Email Was Down

I realized today that I havent been getting any of my email for this website.  I looked and the last email I got was on the 22nd, which was 5 days ago.  If anyone emailed me, I am afraid it has been lost in cyberspace somewhere.  I didn’t have enough space allocated and went over my limit for email.  I upped it, so email should be back in working order.  Sorry everyone if you sent something and I didnt get it!

Trouble in Tahiti…?

I don’t think there is Trouble in Tahiti, but I did have a conversation with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society today.  They highly suggested that I received a 2nd opinion, as I may not be being properly treated, as I have been afraid of.  I will post more tonight when I get home, so be on the look out for a new post.  I also need to update on my last Doctor’s Appointment last Friday.  Talk to you soon, I’m off to go take some more Ativan so I don’t freak out the rest of the day!

Grrrr… This is getting aggravating.

The Prednisone is kicking in, and I’m just…ugh!

• I’m fat.  I hit 160 last night.  At least I was back down to 155 by this morning.
• My feet hurt.  No amount of oxycodone is taking it away.
• Even my old “fat clothes” aren’t fitting very well.
• I am getting crankier and crankier.  I am starting to feel my blood boil and nothing is causing it.
• I am tired.  I was awake for 3 hrs last night.  Yay.
• I wonder if my MOPP dosages aren’t high enough.
• I just want to go home and go to bed, but I have to take a lorazepam when I get home, or else I will bite someone’s head off, probably literally.  And then I have to wait for 6 hrs to take my temazepam so I can sleep.
• I’m on-call tonight and REALLY don’t want to be.
• Everything about work is bugging me right now, and for the most part I have no reasons for it to be.
• I’m almost through with my 2nd pot of coffee today.

Top Entrecard Droppers - July 2008

Whilest having a blog documenting my journey through Hodgkin’s, I thought it best to join a blog community, where I can gain exposure of my site, as well as meet others that blog their journies, thoughts, or whatever.  I belong to a few, but I like Entrecard the best, by far.  At Entrecard, you “drop” your card on other people’s blogs.  This let’s them know that they visited you, and will also attract them to your site to reciprocate the drop.  I have made a couple of acquaintances through Entrecard, and have come across some really neat people and sites.  I look forward to meeting more people, and reading more stories that I come across.  The card that I drop on other people’s sites look like this:

On the right hand side of my page you will see an area that says Featured Blog of the Day.  You will see someone else’s card on my site in that area.  When you drop your card on other people’s blogs, you earn Entrecard Credits.  You can use those credits to advertise on other people’s widgets, as you see on mine.  I encourage you to visit their site (just click on their card) as you can find some really neat content.

Within Entrecard there is a statistics area that will tell your top droppers.  (Those that have visited your site the most and dropped their card on your site.)    I wanted to take a minute to thank those that have visited my site and dropped their card.  I hope that they have been able to stay long enough to read some of my story, and am anxious to hear from them in the future as they read more.  My top droppers for July were the following:

The chart shows which 10 Entrecard members dropped their cards on my site the most.  I signed up just a couple weeks ago, so the numbers ARE low, I expect them to be much higher next month.  I will hopefully do a post like this monthly to recognize those that regularly visit my site.  I thank you for your support and your viewing!

A Summary of Last Friday’s Cancer Center Visit

Here is a summary of what happened at the Cancer Center last Friday.  To say the least, it turned out nothing like I expected.

• Labs/Port Flush turned into a mini-doctor visit.
• I’m not retaining water, I’m fat.
• Oncologist won’t give me Phentermine.  Go, figure.
• Radiologist and Oncologist disagree on my progress as noted by recent chest xray.
• Neupogen hurts.

Fruity Pebbled Pickled Peppers and PET Scans

So I am writing from my crackberry because I’m too lazy to sit at my desktop, my laptop is so slow it’s annoying me, and I wanted to be able to write before my temazepam takes it’s last swing on me and I am out for the night. As I mentioned in last nights post, I have been way out of it the past few days. Today has been much better - but I am still in a dizzy phase. Constantly dizzy, at least it’s a fun dizzy feeling… This post is mainly to serve as a daily recap of things going on right now.
